Assistant Resort Manager

Location: Royal Davui Island Resort, Fiji

Royal Davui is on the lookout for an experienced and capable Assistant Resort Manager to help lead our team and deliver an exceptional guest experience on our private island paradise.

This is a hands-on, operational role supporting the General Managers in the daily running of the resort. You’ll need to be confident leading a team, solving problems on the fly, and ensuring our guests are consistently well cared for from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Support the GMs in the smooth day-to-day running of all departments
•    Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the GMs
•    Lead daily HOD briefings and drive inter-departmental coordination
•    Handle guest needs and complaints promptly and professionally
•    Conduct regular inspections to uphold villa and facility standards
•    Coordinate and troubleshoot guest transfers, especially during weather disruptions
•    Oversee the offloading/loading of supply vessels
•    Supervise Front Office operations
•    Mentor and train staff, helping to maintain a positive team culture
•    Enforce resort SOPs, OHS protocols, and service standards
•    Manage emergency situations with calm and control
•    Represent the resort to agents, media, and wedding/event guests
•    Maintain guest privacy and discretion at all times

About You:
•    Prior leadership experience in a luxury resort setting, ideally remote or island-based (perhaps as a Duty Manager or in a similar hands-on role—and you’re ready to take the next step)
•    Strong communicator across staff and guests.
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make executive decisions
•    Proficient computer skills, including experience with PMS and POS systems
•    Organised, proactive, and ready to step in wherever needed
•    You lead with professionalism, discretion, and a guest-first attitude
•    Willing to work a flexible schedule based on resort needs
