Job Title: Head Housekeeper
Location: Moanalei Villas, Samoa
Reports to: General Manager
Position Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Head Housekeeper at Moanalei Villas leads the housekeeping department and ensures the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role includes staff supervision, training, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service.
  • Inspect guest villas, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and organization according to luxury hospitality standards.
  • Train, and mentor housekeeping staff to maintain high performance and professionalism.
  • Allocate daily tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor housekeeping inventory, submit order requests as needed.
  • Implement and enforce hygiene and safety standards, including compliance with health regulations.
  • Address guest requests, complaints, and special housekeeping needs professionally and promptly.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team to report and resolve any villa maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain and update records, including cleaning schedules, staff performance, and supply usage.
  • Ensure all laundry services meet quality standards and are delivered efficiently.
  • Uphold Moanalei Villas' brand standards and work towards consistently improving guest experiences.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Housekeeper or in a similar role in a luxury resort, hotel, or villa setting.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and develop staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations in hospitality.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays and nights.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with hygienic cleaning practices and sustainable hospitality.
