GROUP TRAVEL/AIRPORT CONCIERGE OFFICER

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Commercial Department for a qualified and experienced Group Travel/Airport Concierge Officer.

 

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Manager Airport Plaza Sales, the Group Travel/Airport Concierge Officer is responsible for providing full time Group travel reservations, ticket sales while at the same-time provide an ease of way for customers through the entire airport experience.

The Group Travel/Airport Concierge Officer is primarily responsible for Group Travel reservations & ticketing for both Corporate and Walk-in customers, the check-in, on-boarding, and deplaning process for company clientele. This individual will provide concise and accurate directions, all while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who proactively assumes responsibility for the operational integrity and one whom takes action to keep PNG Air safe, on-time, and consistent with our values.

Additionally, the Group Travel/Airport Concierge Officer must be highly organized, customer friendly, and multitask oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks. The position requires quick thinking, and in depth knowledge of overall operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Group travel reservations, ticket sales and customer service for the Company
  • Develop a relationship with company clients to better understand their needs in order to personalize their experience.
  • Manage and facilitate check in process
  • Communicate information to check-in staff and Flight Crew personnel.
  • Verify Customers’ personal identification
  • Assist with Customer luggage
  • Assist Customers with special service requirements
  • Coordinate various duties with co-workers and other departments to ensure proper handling of Customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Good communication skills, both English and Tok Pisin.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Exposure to a commercial environment.
  • Organizational and time management abilities, with ability to work unsupervised.
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • High level of cultural awareness.
  • Ability to work under pressure while delivering a very calm, positive, efficient service.
