Chief Steward
Candidate is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef / F&B Manager / Stewarding department to enforce the highest possible cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food processing facilities, as well as the operating equipment. Main responsibilities include supervision of dish room operations, set up and break down, night cleaning, back area cleaning and equipment's maintenance as well assisting kitchen chefs with breakfast, lunch and dinner setup requirements when applicable. Successful candidate should have the following attributes:
- 4 years’ experience in a 4 or 5 star resort or hotel
- Food & Beverage qualifications including Certification in Good Hygiene Practices
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and problem- solving abilities are essentials. Knowledge in Microsoft office applications a big plus but not required.
- Candidate can work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of different cleaning chemicals and working knowledge of commercial dishwashers. Knowledge of fire and safety practices a plus.
- Serve as a role model for the stewarding teams to demonstrate appropriate behaviours and encourages mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members and affiliates.
- Well presented, friendly with a professional attitude & excellent communication skill.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
- Strong organizational capacity, attention to detail, flexibility, and a commitment to the highest level of guest service.
- Available to work across any shift including morning, afternoon and overnight if required.
CDP - Hotline
The suitable applicant will be responsible for ensuring food standard, preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques are maintained at a high level.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the same role in a Resort/Hotel
- Relevant trade qualifications from recognized institute
- Must have positive attitude and be able to perform under pressure to consistently maintain high standards of food production
- Flexibility in adapting to special requests will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences that will see guests returning time and time again
- Ability to provide a quality service and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Must have passion for food excellence and good communication skills
Marine Mechanic
- Marine mechanic to inspect, service, and repair marine engines of Ahura boats. Inspecting and servicing engine equipment, troubleshooting, and making minor repairs. You may also be required to address problems with boat steering and hydraulic systems.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Marine Mechanic or similar position in the Engineering department
- Complete knowledge of marine engines and electrical systems
- Understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- Excellent technical and mechanical skills
- Critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
- Detailed- oriented and highly motivated individual
- Good physical dexterity and mental stamina
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of Safety and Environmental regulations and procedures
