Logistics Supervisor - MRO

We are pleased to announce an open vacancy exists in our Engineering Department (MRO) for a qualified and experienced Logistics Supervisor.

Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to the Manager Technical Materials.

The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:

  • Planning and supervising logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services
  • Directing, optimising and coordinating full order cycle
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
  • Allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
  • Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints
  • Supervise, coach and train stores workforce
  • Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
  • Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
  • Organising the dispatch and delivery of goods and ensuring goods are stored safely
  • Maintaining health and safety standards
  • Keeping accurate records
  • Update Management on critical items with acceptable solutions
  • Provide coverage on AOG items
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Supply and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers

To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:

  • Minimum 5 years’ Experience in a similar role (aviation exposure would be preferred).
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Extensive knowledge in computer inventory systems.
  • Current drivers licence
  • Working knowledge of MS Office. (Excel, Word and Outlook)
