The purpose of the Utility Hand role is to carry out cleaning and tidying of aircraft and facilities, and to provide assistance to Engineers in the completion of aircraft maintenance and servicing once trained for the tasks.

This position reports to the Head Utility Hand and is responsible for their team, the Shift Coordinator when on shift, or the Mechanical/Avionics Coordinator when on Base.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cleans and maintains the cleanliness of interior and exterior of Aircraft Cleaning Manual.
  • Ensures work environment is clean, tidy, safe and secure.
  • Ensures completion of task within the targeted time.
  • Carries out instructions as directed by the Head Utility Hand or the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Complying with the relevant employment contracts and the CPPM.
  • Supports and encourages team work.
  • Achieves individual and team goals.
  • Participates in safety activities such as meetings, inspections and demonstrations
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Head Utility Hand.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Successfully completed Fiji School Leaving Certificate.
  • Valid Group 2 Fiji Driver's License.
  • At least one-year experience in a similar role.
